Curves and Squares - A Guide To Bathroom Bliss

CURVES ARE FEMININE AND SQUARES ARE MASCULINE

Curves = feminine.

They soften a space, give it flow, and make it more inviting. Squares ‑ masculine. Often more modern in feel, can be colder and more contemporary and sharp. So with a bathroom we have ‘an unfair start‘. Bathrooms are mostly square or rectangular. Showers are square. Vanities are squares. Shower glass are squares.Tiles are squares. So by default we are dealing with something quite clinical, quite square. So hence we can use circles to soften the space down. So lets use the example of @bungalowonseventh to explore this: The taps, mirrors, sinks and lights each have an element of curve to them. This feminises the space and adds balance.
